Refrigeration Engineer (Intermediate)

Intermediate Refrigeration Engineer – Toronto
As part of an integrated project team, this refrigeration engineer will design food & beverage, pharma and biotech process systems. With a potential option to be located in any of our Canada based office, the future team member will report to the Lead Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on the design and analysis of refrigeration plants and systems
- Perform CAD and drafting of refrigeration systems schematics and layouts in AutoCAD
- Perform and/or supervise drafting of refrigeration systems schematics and layouts in Revit and/or Plant3D
- Conduct safety and code compliance audits
- Participate in the development of refrigeration related SOPs, HAZOPS and other safety analysis
- Conduct site inspections of refrigeration systems
- Write, format and proof-read specifications, proposals, reports, templates and other documents
- Organize and maintain project records
- Provide support and build relationships with new and existing clients
- Collaborate with internal and external team members
Key Requirements:
- 2-3+ years of experience of industrial refrigeration system design and analysis.
- Familiarity with ammonia and CO2 refrigeration systems.
- Knowledge of refrigeration and piping codes and standards
- A degree or diploma in mechanical or chemical engineering or qualifications in a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in communicating effectively using technology.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Energetic and motivated problem solver
- Ability to travel internationally
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of AutoCAD software packages including Revit, Plant 3D and P&ID is considered an asset
