• Understanding the client’s requirements in terms of production capacity, product quality and flexibility
• Further development of one or more implantation strategies including:
  • Process block flow diagram with production mass balance
  • Conceptual production floor plant layout
  • Narrative description of equipment and systems
• Conceptual project schedule
• Cost estimate with a ±30% precision level based on our projects’ historical cost database

Detailed Engineering

• Detailed construction drawings and specifications for architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, controls and fire protection based on the requirements of the selected process equipment
• For long lead delivery of building equipment, preparation of pre-purchase documents and follow-up of the tendering process
• Detailed project schedule including start-up and commissioning
• Cost estimate at a ±15% precision level based building contractors estimates

Construction

• Preparation and tendering follow-up for all construction packages
• Bid evaluation and recommendation
• Submittal and shop drawing review
• Technical follow-up and issuance of field directives
• Periodic site inspection
• Review and approval of change orders
• Deficiency list preparation and follow-up of correctives measures
• Provisional and final acceptance of work following the successfully completed start-up
• Preparation of as-built drawings according to contractors’ drawings
• Cost and schedule follow-up

Equipment Procurement

• For process equipment designed with a performance specification and built at the equipment supplier’s facility:
  • Preparation of a performance specification
  • Bid follow-up, analysis and evaluation
  • Shop drawing review
  • Periodic visit at equipment supplier premises to verify work progress and quality of construction
  • Verification of construction, functionality, performance and documentation at the supplier premises before authorizing equipment delivery to the client site (Factory Acceptance Testing)
  • Coordinate and design plant utilities to accomodated equipment connections
• For process equipment custom designed and built on site:
  • Detailed engineering
  • Procurement follow-up
  • Extensive presence on site for construction support, coordination, and verification of adherence to requirements

Start-up and Qualification

• Assist the contractor and equipment suppliers for start-up of their equipment and systems
• Verification of final installation, operation and performance of all equipment and systems according to test procedures previously written, confirm final equipment turnover
• Review and propose revisions to supplier’s documentation and warranties to protect Owner’s interest

Support

• Engineering, maintenance and project management personal loan at client’s premises
• Rapid follow-up on any emergency
• Ongoing remote support
